Pickerel Lake

Pickerel Lake is located in Lilydale Regional Park, a 636-acre park along the Mississippi River near downtown Saint Paul. It is mostly covered by floodplain forest and scenic bluffs. Pickerel Lake is well known for its early season fishing. In mid-summer, an abundance of lily pads dot the surface (and give the park its name). The station is located right along the shore of Pickerel Lake.

This is the first lake station in the Mississippi River Paddle Share system and is a great location to try kayaking and Paddle Share. All equipment is rented and returned from this single station. Equipment must be returned within 1:55 hours so that the next person’s rental is available on the hour. Later this summer, adaptive paddling equipment will be available to use with all kayaks at Pickerel Lake.
